Huacaya Alpacas

ROSE PISTOL is a purchase last Thanksgiving from Liberty Alpacas in WA. She was bred to The Black Medallion when we got her. In June, Rose gave birth to a premature little girl we named Sawdust's Melanie. Both Rose and cria got off to a rough start but with a little help from the vet, both are doing great. We gave Pistol a little break, but now have her bred to our KOHANA. This pairing has us excited for next year in August 2017. 8/18/2017 UPDATE ROSE PISTOL just gave birth to a gorgeous Light Silver Grey male. Sawdust's Paulownia will be going to Alpacapalooza/Caba show in Portland OR May 11-13, 2018. PISTOL is now bred and confirmed to our main stud on the ranch, IMMANUAL CUERVO PLATEADO. A MFI BROCK son. What a combination, a white to this rose grey. Zenkeri (light fawn) was born on 5/21/18. Definitely takes after his mom in temperment, but did get his sire's fiber. Woohoo! 11/7/25 Pistol has been bred to Sawdust's Madrone for a fall 2026 cria. We were overjoyed to welcome a truly unique addition to our farm-a beautiful, true black female with an impressive lineage. A Paca Fun's Black Dalhia, the daughter of Silver Elation and the offspring of A Paca Fun's Super Sonic, is a one-of-a-kind alpaca. This exceptional pairing has resulted in a jet black, bright fleece with square conformation, upright presence, and a beautifully soft handle. According to Neil (A Paca Fun Farm), Dalhia's pedigree boasts an impressive collection of blacks and greys, including 5 Peruvian Royal Inca Legend, Peruvian Macusane, 4 Peruvian Black Magic, Silver Legend of KPS, Snowmass Peruvian Casanova, and Emerald Farm's Orlando Cloud. On October 6, 2022, Dalhia gave birth to a male cria weighing 15.6 lbs at birth. Murwiti has become quite a handsome male, carrying on his mother's jet black fleece, square confirmation, upright presence, and soft-handled fleece. In October of 2025, Murwiti started his breeding career at a new farm. 10/01/25 Dahlia has been bred to Sawdust's Armandi (a Crecent Moon Buster son/ Elite Crescendo grandson) for a fall 2026 cria.

We found this Beautiful White girl at the Priority Auction in Las Vegas in 2017. She is a solid producer, with a gorgeous crimp and a multi-ribbon holder. She came with a cria at her side—Alpaca Palace's Zinger. LOOK who she was bred to for an August 2017 cria. HOUDINI!! What a prize. MAPLE was born on August 23, 2017, a beautiful Beige. A champion in the making!! Maple was sold at the 2018 Futurity Auction to Peter and Susan Goodwin of Foster Trails Alpacas and has performed well in shows since then. We do miss her. We were just informed that MAPLE took Reserve Champion at PAOBA. How exciting! Cookie was bred to PERFECT STORM, a DEFIANCE son. We are very pleased with this pairing, with a cria due in February 2019. Keep your eye on this one!! COOKIE'S cria came on 2/15/2019, named Garryana (an oak wood). CHAKA KHAN is a gorgeous female from Snowmass Enlightenment and Crescent Moon's Chellita. What more can we say about this Medium Rose Grey girl? She is a perfect mix of these two. Chaka Khan has an ideal structure, strong bones, and a wonderful, soft fleece with a spectacular staple length. Her average micron count is 19.0. She is truly an excellent addition to our herd. So, a 100% ribbon rate and a 40% Champion rate. This measures up relatively well, and most importantly, it is an indication of the consistency and uniformity of this male's production, regardless of color. We are actively seeking this trait in our breeding program, and we are proud to have this genealogy as part of Kendall Creek Farms heritage". Timborana was born on 8/31/2018 and is from 2 champion and blue ribbon winners. Liberty Alpaca's MANASSAS, a solid Champion winner, and Sawdust's JESSINIA, a TB blue ribbon winner. Timbor is very straight and has excellent crimp. She is in our show string for 2019. First show - 2nd place winner. Timborana was to Alpaca Palace's Zinger for a 2022 cria. This should be a beautiful cria. On 10/22/22, Timbor gave birth to a female cria we named Sawdust's Karri. SAWDUST'S GARRYANA, DOB 2/15/2019. Her name, Garryana, is a tribute to the Oregon White Oak, a species that symbolizes strength and resilience. Her sire, Snow Diamond PERFECT STORM, also hails from the same region, Bend, OR. Her genetics are very descriptive of her. With SNOWMASS DEFIANCE, ELITE LEGEND, and MATRIX on the top end. Quercus garryana is an oak tree species with a range stretching from southern California to southwestern British Columbia. It is commonly known as Oregon white oak or Oregon oak in the United States, and as Garry oak in Canada. It grows from sea level to 210 meters (690 ft) altitude in the northern part of its range, and at 300 to 1,800 meters (980 to 5,910 ft) in the south of the range in California. The eponymous Nicholas Garry was deputy governor of the Hudson's Bay Company, 1822–35. Garryana has been bred to Vintage Cashmere's U-Taupe-Ia (Taupie) for a 2023 cria 4/13/23 Garryana is confirmed by ultrasound to be pregnant and due in October 2023. Unfortunately, Garryana lost her cria. Diamond came to us unexpectedly this summer. What a great surprise!! Diamond's sire is Snow Diamond Gamblin Man, and her dam is H&S Dream Girl. Both are well-known names in the alpaca world. Diamond has produced several crias for the previous owner. We have high hopes for Diamond's breeding potential, having bred her to Sawdust's Madrone (an Isidoro son) for a late spring 2026 cria. Isidoro is from Kendal Creek Farms in Pennsylvania and is a 17-time champion. 6/28/26 Unfortunately, Diamond's beautiful male cria was stillborn. I cannot find any information for Diamond or her dam, H&S Dream Girl. ZINGER is a standout, Great phenotype and bone structure. His fiber is very consistent throughout his whole frame. He is the spitting image of his sire, ZAGATO, ARI #32423105, a multi-ribbon champion! Zagato produced a boy in his likeness with SA Peruvian What's Cooking (Cookie), and he is a real Zinger! He has all the attributes of a great one like his Sire, Multi-Judge's Choice and Champion, Sunset Hill's Zagato. We purchased him with his mom, Cookie, at the Las Vegas Priority Auction , 2017, and what a looker. The judges at AlpacaPalooza and the Great Western Alpaca Show in 2017 were very impressed. "Consistent fiber throughout, Great phenotype, solid confirmation with great bone density". 2020 ZINGER is a Proven Herd Sire with several offspring on the ground. April 2023 upddate: We have 5 Zinger offspring going to the Great Western Alpaca Show. They will all compete in walking fleece, halter and three will compete in a class called Get of Sire (3 alpacas with the same sire but different dams), and two will compete in Produce of Dam (2 alpacas from the same dam, at least 1 year apart - in this case also the same sire). We are hoping they all do well. Each alpaca will be judged comparatively on traits passed down from their sire, Zinger. 4/10/17 Our first of the season, and what a guy. ARI # 35222385. Sawdust's Almond Thunder weighed a whopping 23.5 lbs at birth and is gaining a pound a day, a testament to his robust health and potential as a herdsire. Sawdust Alpacas is very pleased with this boy. He is a very well-put-together male with a significant phenotype and bone structure. His crimp style is passed on from his sire, Sunset Hill's Golden Thunder (ARI #31017435) and his dam, Skyline's Almond Joy (ARI # 32821666). His consistent color is passed down from Joy's Lennox line. Thunder is not just a PR alpaca, he's a friendly companion. He loves to meet people and sometimes gives kisses, showing his affectionate nature. He has a great personality and disposition, making him a joy to have on the farm. He has soft-handled, dense fiber. With a 22-micron count, Thunder's fiber can be used for a wide range of products. Thunder's breeding potential is further underscored by his first cria, Sawdust's Jarrah, born 9/29/20. This female, a mirror image of her father in both color and size, weighed 17.9 lbs at birth. Jasper was born on 10/04/22 to Estate's Brazilian Agate at Summer Hill Farm in CA. The Pacific Madrone Tree, also known as Arbutus Menziesii, is a tree native to the Western Coastal areas of North America, from British Columbia to CA. It is known for its striking appearance, with smooth reddish-brown bark and glossy green leaves that turn a beautiful bronze in the fall. The Madrone tree also has a lignotuber near ground level that provides fire-resistant energy storage and sprouting. This unique feature has made the Madrone tree an essential part of the ecosystem in western coastal areas. 9/22/24 Madrone is the sire to 2 female crias this year. The firstborn on 9/2/24, to Sawdust's Jarrah - now owned by Casey Alpacas - is named Keita. Our Sawdust's Chrysanthus was born on 9/6/24 to Sawdust's Jessinia. Chrysan weighed 17.4 lbs at birth and has been very active and independent since her arrival. She is very conformationally correct and has beautiful, medium-fawn, curly fiber, very much like her sires.
